Inspiration

Recommended Posts

Inspiration - the thing that comes to us all through vastly different means. Whether it is music, a picture, darkness, rest, a nearby car driving down the road, or simply the urge to create, inspiration is what moves us to action. We are inspired to interact, to create, to build, to destroy, and so on. Many times, for me, I come onto these forums when I am in a bad mood - as that is when I usually make art, as art doesn't have any set rules that annoy me. Right now, my main inspirations come from music, everyday life, and energy (which I have very little of - apparently, my brain produces extra REM waves which are usually only produced during times of exhaustion or rest, or something to that tune, so when I have energy and such I feel amazing). I can bring myself to try over and over again on something without frustration, or to work hours without a single minute-long break, anything as long as I am able to see my goal.

Right now, I am trying to finish the school year, but I am eager to work (as long as my ADD medication hasn't worn off, which I usually become far more irritable right after it does) and I feel great, the majority of the time. I feel like all of life is an inspiration, from the right angle. Even an ugly neighborhood can be a great still for a picture or a painting. Pain or sorrow makes us human, and makes the opposite more enjoyable. For me, the moments when I feel like this are few and far between, and I can never seem to get myself to feel this way all the time - therefore, I embrace these moments and try to get the most out of them. They are often squandered by people around me reminding me that I need an ibuprofen because they are too loud (this message is transmitted by an extreme pain in my forehead :P) or something of the sort, and I am usually a loner anyways, but I seem to find that more enjoyable.

To wrap up my mess of romanticized thoughts, what inspires you? What can motivate you to do almost anything?

The sky is a major inspiration for me. I never cease to be in awe of the gradient of blue that holds so many detailed puff-balls. The way the Sun shines through leaves and grass making them gleam with the energy of life. The way the Sun sets the atmosphere on fire as it rises and sets.

Music also gets me going and makes me want to dance!

Hmm. I've never been a fan of sunny days, I prefer it gray and cloudy. It makes everything feel more important, for some reason. I love it cloudy and rainy, it fits every type of mood and such.

Yeah I can see how you feel that way. For me it's like when the world seems more alive around me I feel more alive. (Idk call it a mutual energy connection or whatever you want) :)

Music helps me get my mind off my troubles and such and lifts my spirits!!
