How many pixels has my selection?

Recommended Posts

There is an information bar at the bottom of the screen. After you make a selection (and still have the selection tool selected), it shows the position of the top left of your selection, the dimensions of the bounding rectangle, and the area in pixels square. The area is what you are looking for.

EDIT: if it is shown in inches, go to View and check "pixels"

But is there any better way you can count the pixels in your selection, the bar at the bottom is kind of confusing......

Reading the pixels is not that hard:
