aatwo
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good free piece of video editing software? Basically I have a very long .avi video that I have made and want to speed up by removing frames periodically so it looks like it is in fast forward mode. Also I would like to be able to add some music to the video. Quote Deviant Art Gallery
Rick Brewster
Maybe Windows Movie Maker? Comes with XP. Not sure if it'll do exactly that, but worth a shot. Skro
Maybe Windows Movie Maker? Comes with XP. Not sure if it'll do exactly that, but worth a shot. It'll do, except that it will output it in wmv (the windows video format) By the way, download v2, if you don't already have it, as it is far better than the first one Regards, Skro Quote ZoC radio, Chaos is on the air
Rick Brewster
Oh yeah, like Skro said. Make sure you get the latest version if you try it out. There's always huge differences. I think it's just on Windows Update. aatwo
Thanks for the replies although I can't find windows movie maker in my program list and .wmv is a problem for what I want to do. I had a good look round the web but didn't come up with much. There seems to be a lot of shareware video editing software but very little freeware. Illnab1024
One of my favorite tools for converting between formats is the RAD Video tools...they're free and offer a good deal of video formats - if you need it... a google search should get you to the download page Quote ~~
