*** Thanks to Jaxon for the Tile Image link ... it didn't work :/

Using Kaleidoscope to get shapes. Using textures instead of gradients, gives interesting results ...

Used Seamless texture maker twice on my firey pattern to get some geometry going for me in my pattern to make the 4 parallel lines ... Also went to max on the dimensions to see how much pattern I could generate from the folds ...

Fun diversion. Thanks WB.

By the book more or less with my 100 side count: th_wbkaleidotutbook.png

And one with polar inversion and some blending. Coudn't resist the inversion with all that empty space: th_wbkaliedotut2.png

Dont forget to update the link for Tile Image ...

Thanks Welshy for such an easy tute that gives such great outcomes. Delpart & Minners got fabulous outcomes. I love the chunkiness of that star!

Please mods - this deserves a sticky B)

Minners - love the shapes but might be better with the weaving out of it? Tone down the stars in the background. I have a problem with these but perhaps you know how to do it? I've tried a few tutes on this but I am never happy with my results. I'd like to see the shapes on plain black. I think they would look super like that. The weaving is a very nice effect & reminds me of winter. Possibly the biggest part of a new image? Either way, love the idea too.

Jaxon, I must say that the purple star in your image is perfectly beautiful.

Thank you Welshblue.

I clicked on the link in post #3 and it worked for me. :/

Tile Image Link

edit: just double checked this link, it takes me right to Curtis's Plugin Pack page.

Thanks doughty, I can't decide if I'm looking at stone or rusted metal in your piece. Either way, it's an outstanding texture and a nice over all design. :D

Thanks barbieq. :music:
