Flattermann
Hi I am a new member of this forum and so I tried to put a photo from myself in the profile. This photo (75x80 pixel, 3.786 Bytes) can't be uploaded because it is too big?? I scaled it a bit smaller, but still it doesn't work. Greetings Christian
Ego Eram Reputo
Profile photos have been turned off. I know that the error message is misleading. I've been advocating for it to be changed, but it seems to be reasonably difficult. Solution: Make do with an avatar and signature Best we can do. david.atwell
It's kind of confusing to new users to have an avatar AND a profile picture. I don't see any reason for it, especially since the average user will never see another user's profile or have their own seen. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Ego Eram Reputo
Profile pics are shown in the top right corner of most of the forum skins - so they do get seen (unless that's a Mod feature...) Rick Brewster
If people are really clamoring for this I'm not sure there's harm in allowing it. I'm just not seeing that clamoring. 1 head-scratchy post every month or two doesn't count Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
david.atwell
Yeah, there's no clamor. I say leave it out. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... toxicdj
I was a bit confused when I signed up. But I agree with @david.atwell... There really is no need for them. People spend most of the time in the forums, not trolling profiles... Really no need to have them...
