jakemoore
Hey everybody, I've got an image with two types of sand in it (light and dark), and I need to try and quantify the quantities of each for a project. Using the threshold tool seems to isolate the two (luminosity, black = 150), but I can't figure out how to tell how much of each color (white and black) there are. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm going through the list of plugins, but I'm not seeing anything (perhaps I don't know what to look for though). Thanks, and much appreciated. mountnman
so what your sayingis you need to find either the percentage of the picture made up of dark sand or the ratio of dark to light? Ego Eram Reputo
Color Count. There has been some discussion over the accuracy of the plugin. The alternative is to use the magic wand withthe tolerance set to zero and simultaneously holding down the shift key. This will select all the occurances of the color of the pixel you click on. Check the status bar for the pixel count. Repeat for the other color.
