Ego Eram Reputo
Are you talking about thumbnails within paint.net or in those shown when using your file explorer? During the Paint.NET installer, or through some other control panel in Windows? When I click on "open with" it asks if I want to use paint net as default program & I put a check there but now I went back to PhotoFiltrer the default & have no problem Quote Sugee

BoltBait
Have you tried making Paint.NET the default jpg editor during the install process? You do this during the "custom" install. Rick Brewster
There are two "verbs" that a program like Paint.NET can be registered for: "Edit", and "Open". Paint.NET will register for "Edit," which leaves the default double-click "Open" action pointing at the Windows Preview thingy. This is generally what you want. You can only get Paint.NET registered for "Open" if you do your own hacking. I don't recommend setting Paint.NET as the handler for "Open" (double-click), and there will be no "fix" for this. Paint.NET's job does not include handling thumbnails for everyone else. Sketched
I'd probebly suggest, evan though Paint.net is a wonderfull program, unless you really need the picture in Paint.net IMIDIATLY, use windows picture an fax viewer. It works great, but you won't get it instatly in Paint.net.
Rick Brewster
And you can still right click -> Edit to open it with Paint.NET.
