laxeraend
Setup generates only .net 2.0 native images. If you switch paint.net to use .net 4.0, presumably it would benefit from native images.
Rick Brewster
In general, you should not switch Paint.NET to use .NET 4.0. This is not supported. laxeraend
In general, you should not switch Paint.NET to use .NET 4.0. This is not supported. You install on a system with only 4.0, with no warnings, generate 4.0 native images, and it runs fine. What is that called, if not support? Whatever it is, it's good enough. Please post the command(s) to generate 4.0 native images. Thanks.
W@@dy
I think it's called a coincidence? lol
Ego Eram Reputo
...Please post the command(s) to generate 4.0 native images. "Thou shalt not switch Paint.NET to use .NET 4.0 for this is NOT supported." How is that for a command(ment)? laxeraend
You use ngen.exe to generate native images. It would be helpful if you could post the actual command line and the list of files for which to invoke it.
Rick Brewster
You just run it on paintdotnet.exe ... a simple web search or running ngen with /? will tell you what you need to know from there.
