Plug-ins for Fusion Options

Ahh, ok I understand you now. This is not something where we're quite ready to open it up for extensibility yet, but we do have plans for something going in this direction :)

For our next major release after v2.5 (and I don't mean v2.6), we want to start out with what we're calling Adjustment Layers. Basically you create a layer that has something like Brightness/Contrast or Desaturate tied to it. This idiom can easily be extended to rendering something like a drop shadow or a glow. This requires a lot of work on our part to generalize the UI that handles our layers -- right now it is making a large assumption that the rendering pipeline is simple and one-dimensional.

Anyway, just be patient :) Paint.NET is only 20 months old, we still have a lot of room to grow.
