My life feels... empty.

Recommended Posts

every night.

Every night, day after day, I find myself tired, stressed out, and sad again. The first two are explainable, but the last one... I guess its a combination of the two that makes me sad..

I usually vent via texting, but I didn't tonight.

Everything feels empty and purposeless.

I need help...

Anyone here who could cheer me up?

The hardest part of ending is starting again.

If you're not serious - imagine what Pyrochild looks like naked!

If you are serious, then something like this may help: http://www.lifeline.org.nz/ Reach out AGJM, there are people out there who care!

(PM me if you are in need....)

Hey man, God Almighty in heaven loves you and cares about every aspect of your life (and I mean Every aspect cuz there isn't one thing anyone can list that doesn't matter to him) Talk to him, he will listen! I've experienced that feeling myself & Jesus always gets me through it.

(I have no intention of imposing religion on anyone. I'm just speaking out to help.;) )

>_> are you me posting in my sleep?

I've been going through the same thing, but I think it's my sleep schedule.

I thought I was stressing over a chem test, but I took the test friday (and felt I did wonderful on it) felt amazing driving home, thought of all the pictures I'd draw and music I'd listen to, but the instant I got home I felt exactly as you described, empty and lacking any motivation.

It's happened to me every night around 9-12, but after 12 I suddenly perk up for some reason, and as a result stay up to like 3am.

It certainly sucks, I'll tell you that.

It's like wandering around wanting to do something, but everything seems pretty boring and pointless.

Personally, I feel stable enough to let this persist a while longer before searching for medical advice. I know that I get stressed/depressed for no real reason during seasonal changes (i.e. summer/fall winter/spring) so I'm expecting it to pass.

I tell myself that nothing lasts forever,

and I find some ironic bliss in that. It's always held true for me, I just make sure I use that in a way to cheer me up

Just moved, and the weather is far different here (colder). The same thing happens with me, but in the day I can't focus on anything either (and I used to do a great job on keeping up with school work).

I don't know...

I listen to this rock when I'm feeling like that.

http://thecaretaker.bandcamp.com/album/an-empty-bliss-beyond-this-world

It doesn't exactly help...but I enjoy it to an extent.

I like the cover-art. The overall look is how I feel, but with a hint of humor mixed in. Makes me feel a bit better oddly.

Next thing I do is listen to Tarzan music because it was a part of my childhood, and all those disney movies had stellar music/songs in them.

I don't care to think of any accomplishments I've done or anything like that.

I tend to just observe things around me. Listening to some music, and just think. I couldn't try to remember all of the things I think about, I don't think it really matters either.

Sometimes I make connections between subjects, like computer science and governments. Sometimes I just think about tomorrow, the rest, Idk.

I don't like to make suggestions, because in this case they're almost never helpful. You've probably already thought about all your options, so people throwing the same suggestions back at you are just kind of painful reminders so to speak.

But the one thing I would suggest is some sort of excercise if you don't already.

Doesn't really matter what, but anything to make you sweat. That's always put me in an upper mood, and after a while it persists for weeks.

Getting myself to exercise is...more than difficult though lol. I'm a lazy bones.

Music that gets me pumped will make me want to do something though. For me, it's things like "Disturbed" and "Dethklok". The genre choice surprised me. I used to hate that garbage, but now whenever I wan to get excited I play some of that.

It's odd how music can change a mood

Hey, I feel you. Here's my life, everyday. Wake up, eat, work, work, eat, work, work, extra work, check YouTube inbox, watch video for 10 secs, check inbox again...continued... eat, shower, bed. Done. My life feels empty, too. But the one thing that ALWAYS cheers me up: eating a big bowl of nachos. They work EVERY time! (Oh, great, now I'm hungry! WHERE'S THE QUESO?!)

My advice is to find some creative art that you find you are really good at (like graphic design :D). If one isn't enough (as is the case for me), find other creative arts that you would enjoy doing. I started making music a year ago and game design a couple months ago. I love both of those so much. Making music has a steep learning curve, especially if you aren't musically inclined, but it's really fun even if you have no idea what you are doing. Making games is even worse in that sense, because you need a set of skills, including programming, but we can all learn new things, right?

My personal suggestion would be music production/composition. If you get good at it, you can portray ANY of your emotions through music, and even let the music tell a story, through either the melodies, or singing if you can do that (I can't!). You can do the same through graphic design. Portray your emotions through your images, but I find that music does a better job if you know what you're doing.

But also, like others have said, if you are really worried about the sadness or depression and want to get help, there's lots of people out in the world willing to help.

Oh, and I also do a little bit of poetry/lyric writing. It helps to kinda get your feelings on a page in an abstract (or blunt, if that's your style) way.

If neither video helps, you may need to consult a psychiatrist.

I'm no atheist myself, but from a non-religious perspective, you can try creating purpose for yourself through NinjaMan's suggestion.

You know what I say?

Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy marshmallows. Which is pretty much the same.

My skills in writing began to excel last year (seventh grade) with the teacher I had. I may post one of the stories I wrote for his class.

I am going to see a psychiatrist in a couple of weeks, actually, but I think I'm good now... My parents may simply be wasting their money.

Thanks guys.
