Here are the shows I'm currently watching:

Big Bang Theory

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Blacklist

The Orville

Killjoys

Dark Matter

Archer

I've been watching The Orville--Seth MacFarlane's take on the Star Trek universe. Like the original, it has been taking on big social problems with a nice mix of humor and drama. I suggest giving it a shot.

I can't believe SyFy just renewed Killjoys but cancelled Dark Matter after 3 seasons. Joe Mallozzi had a 5 season vision for the show and now he'll have to finish it up in comic book form. Lame. Dark Matter is so much better of a show than Killjoys. (Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Killjoys... it's just that Dark Matter was so much better.)

I just finished season 10 of BBT.  I can't believe they've gone 10 seasons and it is still funny.  I'm looking forward to more.

B99, AoS, and TBL are set to resume this week.  Can't wait.

Blacklist ... I'm only just starting season 4 but it's one of the few box sets I've seen through.  I can't imagine anyone else playing Red.  James Spader just plays him brilliantly

Have you seen him in Boston Legal?  I think he's brilliant in everything he does.

First eps of Star Trek: Discovery.... were super serious and proper Star Trek material, beautiful visuals and epic scenario... mostly boring and predictable.

And the season preview at end of episode 2 spoiled everything about the rest of the season... I have no excitement to watch rest of it. It'll be a great show to watch but meh...

The Orville on the other hand, totally bizarre, refreshing and fun to watch. Crazy scenarios in every episode so far and all the cameos yet to happen :D

Dark Matter canceled :( I wonder how season 4 would've even gone with the crazy season 3 finale.

Another +1 for The Blacklist.  I haven't finished watching season 4 on Netflix.  Nowadays, I watch nearly everything through Netflix.  I really liked Daredevil as it retold the story through a darker lenses where ethics and justice are often blurred with personal vengeance.  Can't wait for when Punisher is released as the actor who played Frank Castle completely stole the thunder.

Iron Fist was horrible.  It wasn't like the comic from what materials I've read online.  Don't get me started on Fuller House.

Enjoyed Father Brown until the last season and it was very, very meh.  When they got rid of Sidney and that socialite, it wasn't the same as it was just Father Brown, that gossipy parish secretary and Bunty.  Meh!

Person of Interest seem like a real good sitcom but from reading the episode guides, it didn't seem to hold much interest after the first few episodes.  I honestly think the writers are running out of ideas to keep the storyline going.

Agents of SHIELD was solid the first two seasons, but gone completely off the rail after season 3.  Sorry, but I can't watch it.

The new season of The X-Files has been very entertaining. They're doing justice to the show's legacy. I recommend it, if you're into that type of show.

Stargate Origins was absolutely awful. Uninteresting story. Bad acting/directing. Unlikeable and annoying characters. Seemed like a low-budget show made by film students; no joke.  Don't waste your time watching it.

Has anyone watched Young Sheldon  ?

Yes, I'm watching it.  It won't ever beat BBT, but it has me in stitches at times.

The relationship between him and  'meemaw' is hilarious...this explains a lot!

OITNB s6 was really good.  I can see them using that as the final season.  It wraps everything up... (mostly).

Star Trek Discovery: I finally watched this (my daughter gave me access to her CBS All Access account when she visited me last week).  As much as I wanted to hate this, I didn't. It was OK, 6/10 maybe?  Which, I know, is pretty low for a TV show.  But, I have a hard time not comparing it to The Orville (9/10) (which is everything I want in a Trek show).

I think you're spot on, BoltBait. I had the same feeling after watching it recently too. What got me excited about Star Trek again was hearing that Patrick Stewart signed up to play Picard again. I can't wait to see how that goes!

Just watched a couple of Netflix shows, Altered Carbon and Disenchantment.

Altered Carbon was good. I'd rate it 7/10.  I wonder what season 2 will bring.  Seems like an interesting premise that you can change "sleeves" at any time... no star should feel safe in their role.  I like sci-fi, so maybe I'm a little easy on this. But, I was entertained.  There were several decent characters.  The stories definitely take a dark turn with some scenes not easy to watch.

Disenchantment a Netflix original series by Matt Groening... just wasn't funny.  2/10.  I watched 4 full episodes before giving up on it.  I really enjoyed Groening's other show Futurama, so I'm not sure what happened here. Meh.  EDIT: I did go back and finish this one... I was bored.  It did not get any better.  I should have just skipped it.

I watched this also.  I agree with Boltbait. I liked it and can't wait for Season 2.  Is this the future?  ?

I really hope they don't screw it up...

I agree...the anime adaption of Avatar: The Last Airbender to the big screen was a huge flop.  It was cringe-worthy and deserving of every Raspeberry award conceived.  Edit: I think that's why there some serious reservations to adapting anime to live action.  Look at how Disney have ruined half of its classic animated movies.  I still refuse to watch the abomination called Beauty and the Beast and prefer the animation version, thankyouverymuch.

I've been a genuine Big Bang Theory fan since it was first shown here in the UK on E4.

It went off quite a bit at the end of Season 7 and much of Season 8 but it was still worth watching and in the last four seasons it got back to something like its old self although they were clearly running out of ideas about where certain characters' storylines were going, Raj in particular. That's when more of the peripheral funny characters like Stuart, Bert the geologist and Zac Penny's ex-boyfriend took up some of the slack.

The inherent drama and comedy potential in Penny and Leonard's relationship was also pretty much torpedoed when they finally got married. However that was successfully replaced by the 'ShAmy' as the primary comedy/drama motor and which I thought still worked well for laughs even after they were married.

TBBT was at its best in the first 6 seasons, the invention, performances, wonderful cameos from some amazing celebrities and, for me, most importantly, the quality of the writing was in another league to most current US sitcoms we see here in the UK.

One of my favourite examples of the great writing it contained was when Leonard and Sheldon wanted to buy some helium for an experiment and found a dodgy dealer online who they arranged to meet at in a car park. In most sitcoms the dodgy dealer would have been a cliched small time crook but the great writing elevated the scene to a first division comedy classic.

There are other scenes peppered throughout TBBT's run  like that, often involving the cameo celebrities (Bob Newhart, James Earl Jones......) and it is why the show was and still is worth watching even in the later seasons when it was not as good as it had been.

Very sad to see it go.
