TV Show Discussion Thread

Considering we have one for movies but TV Shows/Series's I thought I'd make one and see how it goes.

To start things off I'll make a list of some of my favourite TV Shows:

Heroes: By far my favourite show of all time; I absouletly love the storyline and the interwoven plot.

Fringe: I'm currently watching it now, I'm halfway through season 2 and loving it. If you're interested in the paranormal/fringe science this one is for you.

Community: This show is seriously hilarious, I recommend it to anybody.

Nikitia: A cool show about a trained assassin turning against the people who trained her; great writing and interesting plot.

Firefly: A must-watch for any Sci-Fi fans/fans of Nathan Fillion. It's a space-western, what else can I say?

Burn Notice: I absouletly love this show; the episodes are well written and full of action. A modern day MacGyver.

The Walking Dead: Although technically only a mini-series I hear it's been renewed for a second full length season. A must-watch for zombie apocalypse fans.

What are yours?

Transformers Prime:I feel like it's a very unique addition to Transformers all together. It's just...Different, i love it.

Digimon Tamers(English dub):The best Digimon season by far, with the closest bonds between Digimon and tamer.Oh, and Renamon is epic!

Criminal Minds(Not the new stuff):I like all the characters, and all the stories and cases they handle.

Hmm....

Oh, yes, i know.

Sherlock Holmes(PBS):I watch it with my mom all the time, i guess we just love it.I like how it's scripted and how Sherlock pwns with his mind.

Burn Notice, Fringe, and White Collar are really the only shows on TV I will watch. My brother has been pestering me to watch Suits though, I might check it out.

Wasn't there a thread like this somewhere else? Probably long dead. :P

I searched for a topic like this but came up with nothing, hope I didn't miss it.

White Collar is also really great. I'm looking to seeing the new episodes from season 3, I don't know if they've been aired yet in the US or not though...

I am a big Sci-Fi fan but recently have found 3 shows that I love Dexter and Breaking Bad ( both deal with quite dark matters Dexter is about a serial killer and Breaking Bad about methamphetamine ) And Game Of Thrones which is just amazing and unlike anything else. One critic likened it to The Sopranos in middle earth it is quite confusing to start with and has a larger main cast than normal but is well worth watching. These 3 shows are so good infact that I will probably but them on Blu-Ray when released. Also agree with sfifer on Heroes a great show shame it got cancelled :(

At sfifer if you want to see if an episode has aired or when it is due go here.

Big Bang Theory. I like the characters, particularly Sheldon. Bazinga!

Ghost Whisperer. Interesting plot and a beautiful theme.

Bones. Brings a new twist to the detective/crime investigation genre. It's drama and comedy without being less of an action series.

House. You just gotta love him.

Lost! yes I know it's over now. I love how it gets you hooked. Many a fight has ensued because someone watched extra episodes without someone. (I have the Full Blu-ray Collection Set)

Dirty Jobs is funny and informing.

Myth Busters is just plan awesome and humorous!

Desperate Housewives' final season starts next Monday! Can't wait.

Desperate Housewives, The Big Bang Theory, Come Fly With Me and House are the only series I follow. I don't watch much TV.

I've been watching WEEDS and LOST on Netflix. I'm on season 6 of LOST, which is the final season. Not a bad show if you watch it carefully. I watched up to season 5 on WEEDS, which is as far as Netflix will show us. I guess I will have to wait until they feature season 6.

I already posted here... But...

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Now, first thoughts from most people is that it's.. Well, an unexpected choice in liked shows by a 12 year old boy. But... Where do I start? The characters are masterpieces in themselves, very diverse. We have from the tomboy-ish Rainbow Dash, my personal favorite, to Fluttershy, the Pegasus afraid of heights and conflict. I feel Lauren Faust completely made it this awesome show that goes to show that shows titled like that aren't for 5 year old girls. Lauren is ingenious, being the one behind the gloriously put together PowerPuff Girls, and the fun, entertaining show Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. This show is very well done, enough to power this gigantic fandom that everyone.. Er... Almost everyone knows.

^ Haven't watched it and I can't say I feel like watching it, to be honest. but I've heard only good things about it. I'm glad a show which "teaches" friendship, tolerance, love and peace has become so popular; even among those outside its planned demography (albeit for the wrong reasons, perhaps)

I finished Pushing Daisies a week ago. A lovely show, shame it wasn't any longer. I think it could've easily had a couple more interesting seasons.

I was thinking of watching Twin Peaks.
