pdnnoob
So I was just thinking, I haven't written a tutorial in a while. Then I thought, what would I write a tutorial about? ...then I got stuck. So...what do you all think? Some random things that popped into my head: 1. Realistic notebook paper 2. Shape 3D with text cut into it (ex: http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx228/pdnnoob/realistic-ishlighting.png ) 3. 3D of a shiny pen I happen to be using for my math homework at the moment I'm truly out of ideas, so if you all could give me a few ideas for a tutorial, that would be great Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. NinjaManDan21
Um well, maybe you could try a realistic autograph tut, using a baseball, football, futball, etc. Or a mable with ur name inside it, or cave writing with a pic referring to you on it. Just random thoughts Quote Sig Battle Wins: 5My Gallery | Smoke>Flames Tutorial~96% of teens won't stand up for God. TheHowler
I like the shape 3d with cut in text, I do something similar without shape 3d, so I'd like to see it. Quote My Brick Wall Tutorial....|....My Gallery.......
pdnnoob
Well, there's already a tutorial on how to contour a text to a background which can be easily adapted to make realistic autographs if you have the right font. There are more glossy sphere tutorials than I can count (that means at least 3 ), and if you just put some semi-transparent text in the middle of one, you have text-in-a-marble. There is a tutorial on embossed/engraved text, but only on a flat surface and it uses a different method than mine, so I guess I'll go with that one. If anyone else has another idea, I'd be glad to do a tutorial for you! pdnnoob
How about the pen and the notepaper ? A chance for people to make 2 items they can put together ? I didn't even notice I had suggested two very related objects lol. Maybe I'll make the pen scribbling an autograph onto the paper in a reflection on a marble with the same autograph inside, then cut some text into the marble, just for kicks Looks like I'll be pretty busy for a while...
