My name is Rext and I am new to the forums and I have used paint.net for a long time and now I just want to get more into it and become a real graphics artist! To do so I have come to the home of the best! I was hoping that you guys could give me some tips and tricks and help me with some things. As you've found, Paint.net is extremely powerful and capable of creating absolutely awesome graphics. You can gain experience by regularly using paint.net and working through tutorials of other more experienced users. Agree that doing as any tutes as possible is a sure fire way of learning how to use Paint.NET & the plugins, not ot mention the inspiration, confidence & satisfaction this gives. Also posting the results to encourage constructive criticism & feedback, which helps to motivate good tute writers too. My tips for what I do: Always using a canvas 4 times the finished size I want to smooth out jaggies (works nearly every time). Always keep as many layers intact as possible. Might mean merging layers down, copying it to the clipboard & then undoing again & turning off the merged layers so they don't show but are there. Always saving a .PDN file & saving as a .PNG (lossless unlike .JPG) Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. I am truly honored that the first post I made a mod reply's instantly . Thank you so much. BTW if anyone would like to help me make a logo for my new website that would be great. (NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE)Have you heard of minecraft? Well my website is my minecraft server and I need a logo that looks like minecraft's logo but for THE LAND of YA.
