His ability to capture expression, action, and, well, life... amazing. You can see many of his drawings here: http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/ How about you? Which artist do you admire? I agree with you entirely. He's got a gift. Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

MattBlackLamb
To be honest I'm not that much in to artists. I concentrate on ny work the most. That's like being a musician & not listening to music, or being an architect & never going into a building. And, as far as a reply to the topic is concerned, I don't know much about art, but I know what I like Quote dA Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Then she'll leave you & be with men that are ten times better than you can imagine. These men are called musicians.
pachuco
I love MC Escher as well, but I would have to say my favorite artist is Robert McCurdy found at http://robertmccurdy.com/home.html On the front page, it's not apparent at first but it's a painting. His portraits are extremely realistic, though that means they take a very long time to create... therefore, he doesn't have too many unfortunately.
