Sode no Shirayuki
Hi. How can I remove "I love you... so please do not love me..." from the following wallpaper without ruining it? http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=8870877_animepaper.net_wallpaper-art-anime-shuffle-kaede-7017-lalo-1280x1024-e4a124f2.jpg I've played around with the wallpaper in Paint.net and searched online but I haven't been able to figure out how. yellowman
Select a part from the background ( just below the text is a best part to select) and paste it on a new layer then move it and align it perfectly with the background to cover the text. Sode no Shirayuki
Is there a way to change a wallpaper's dimensions without losing quality? Edited July 14, 2011 by Sode no Shirayuki
Ego Eram Reputo
Yes if you're shrinking the image - but there will of course be loss of information (different from loss of quality). No if you're enlarging it. There will always be a compromise where the extra pixels have to be 'made up' to fill the extra space. A relatively small enlargement may incur only a slight loss of quality and may be nearly invisible to the naked eye. Sode no Shirayuki
How do I change a wallpaper's resolution using Paint.net? I searched online and found instructions using Photoshop (http://www.ehow.com/how_5137074_change-wallpaper-resolution.html). I tried applied those instructions to Paint.net to see if it would work but I can't find a "Transform" button. Edit: I figured out how to resize an image in Paint.net. However, I can't enter the size I want. When I type in 1280 in Width, the Height is automatically change to 960 and when I type 1024 in Height, the Width is automatically changed to 1365. Edit 2: Nevermind - I figured it out. I had to deselect "Maintain aspect ratio". Edited July 17, 2011 by Sode no Shirayuki

Sode no Shirayuki
Thanks. I have another question. I just figured out how to edit existing Winamp skins and change their buttons/backgrounds. For the sake of practice, I want to make a Winamp skin of Kimidori Emiri from the following image. http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=9466631Kimidori_Emiri.jpg How can I trace Kimidori Emiri and cut her out so she looks like Miku in the following image? http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=5467811mikubackground.jpg The only selection tools I see are rectangle, lasso and ellipse and they don't work for this. AirbusA340
Use the line tool and outline the figure with red (or just download the Outline Plugin Which Does It Automatically). Then select the inside of the red area and hit Invert Selection> Delete. Sode no Shirayuki
Hi, I used the outline tool to try to do what you did, however, when finished, I was unable to do anything further. It's really difficult to get a smooth cut anyway. I tried two different outline plugins. After adding them to the "Effects" folder in Paint.net's programs folder, I'm unable to get them to work. Additionally, I tried the magic wand tool, however, when using it, it ended up selecting pixels inside of Kimidori Emiri so I can't use it. Ego Eram Reputo
I have another question...... Then you really should post it in another thread, unless the question directly relates to the first one in this thread. Mixing topics/questions in a thread leads off-topic and makes the forum chaotic. Creating another thread keeps the forum tidy and easily searchable.
