Hair Tutorials, anyone?

Recommended Posts

How you paint your hair really depends on the style of art and the lighting in the environment. There really isn't a universal way to paint hair, so sometimes, you may just have to wing it. I will tell you, however, that if you want to paint strand by strand, you could probably just look up a photoshop tutorial you like and try your best to duplicate the steps. If you understand the paintbrush tool and layer blend modes well enough, you might try this one: http://www.elfwood.com/farp/theart/gweyenihair/gweyenihair.html

You may find yourself running into tools pdn doesn't seem to have, but don't worry, a lot of photoshop tools there are just shortcuts of things pdn has in its own inventory of tools :)

No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait

Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. It's the filling that can change your experience of the sandwich. ~Ego Eram Reputo
