Incognitoad
Hi all, total newbie here so apologies if I've posted in the wrong place or something. Anyway here's my problem: I'm trying to edit some pictures to use in an online magazine (the final format will be a .pdf). I'm using the magic wand and selecting/removing the white background, but it's leaving a nasty 1px grey border around the outside. I'm quite an amateur at this sort of stuff, but I'd say it's to do with the antialiasing from the original, since I am pasting it onto a predominantly grey background in the magazine. If it helps at all, the software I'm using for the magazine is open office draw, and I'm putting background pictures on with high gamma values, and gradiated white layers over those, to give the pages something behind the text. Whatever I try, the grey lines still come out (regardless of colour of the picture, which is why I think it's from the anti-aliasing) Any help would be much appreciated. mountnman
i would use AA's assistant to blend in that nasty outline- its part of dpy's pack http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16643-dpys-pack/ tho feather would be of use too, http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8318-boltbaits-plugin-pack-updated-july-15-2010/ working with both should give you a nice result Edited May 22, 2011 by mountnman Quote SARCASM- Just one of the many services I offer free to the public.
