TinSoldier
If I select a layer or some pixels and the background is transparent, when I paste into new image it gives a white background instead of transparent. 3.0 Alpha 3.
Rick Brewster
Doesn't happen here. Please give an exact step-by-step list of instructions that cause this to happen for you. TinSoldier
Start with a new image. Delete the white background so the canvas is transparent. Draw something like a circle or whatever. Select all (or anything, really) and copy to clipboard. From the menu, edit -> paste into new image. I get my circle with a white background. If this is just me then I guess I will have to reinstall. Rick Brewster
Hmm, ok. Now I can reproduce it. I'll file a bug. Thanks. For now, Ctrl+Alt+V and then Ctrl+A, Del, Ctrl+V will do what you want (it'll make a new image, delete it all, and then re-paste correctly). Sepcot
Looks like "Paste to New Image" is not taking the alpha value, if you use the new gradient tool on Transparency Mode and Copy/Paste to New Image, the alpha levels are not preserved.
