midora
In general I'm working with units set to 'centimeters'. Because of this the 'New' dialog shows always 'pixels/cm' in the resolution popup. This is not comfortable because you typically use 'pixels/inch' in images (to match the resolution of your printer). Changing from 'pixels/cm' to 'pixels/inch' also changes the 'Print size' popup to inches. If you now select 'OK' the global units settings is changing to 'inches' too. I propose to decouple the resolution popup setting from the print size setting. This would make the things a little bit easier for 'cm oriented' people ;-)
Ego Eram Reputo
If you are 'cm oriented' then shouldn't you learn to work in cm's ? At 2.5cm/inch it's not that hard! Decoupling the two sounds like a nightmare to me..... A nightmare would be to ask in a shop for a 118.11 dpcm printer ;-) So even if you use cm in general there are exceptions where it makes no sense. And because of these execptions it would make sense to decouple these two settings.
