Windows 7 x64 icons disappeared

Recommended Posts

I recently ran Paint.Net and it informed me that I needed to update. I selected update after the program closed and went about my business. When I shut down Paint.net, the updater ran and completed the update. However about 10 of the program icons I have pinned to my task bar were replaced by the default windows icon. I watched the whole thing happen as soon as the updater completed. Any idea how to reverse this? I have tried to unpin and then re-pin the programs but the icons never return. The program's icons have also been removed from the start menu folders as well. When I check the application properties and choose change icon, the program icon is still selected as normal, but it is not visible anywhere in windows. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
