I don't know how much RAM you've got, but you certainly need to install XP SP3 (free update from Microsoft). Ego Eram Reputo Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 @oldguy: I have an old, very humble laptop (it doesn't even meet the minimum specs in terms of RAM) but it will still run the latest release of Paint.NET (so long as I don't try to edit a very large image). Service Pack 3 for XP is definitely required as Rick said. pyrochild Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Some of the improvements between 3.36 and 3.5.8 have been for performance, so the latest version will probably work better on your old computer than 3.36.
