skullbonz
Thank you Barbie and Daniels. If you like those you will love my newest creations. I tried my hand at making stained glass windows, one framed, one not. Each one I used a different method for the colored glass but both got some clipwarp action in the middle, the wood frame one got a bit more than clipwarp. I also overlayed a texture on the wires of the wood frame one. How they look? Red ochre
I like the blue stained glass double pentangle/star - something familiar there?(I lost my marbles a long time ago! lol)Also like some of the 'extruded' 3D rainbow images in the linked Photobucket album (no.167) - interesting ideas. HELEN
Stained glass was always something I admired. I don't know. To me, stained glass looks hard to make and it looks beautiful with all the colorful pieces put together--like yours. The space images look like photos. Sometimes I wonder if you've actually been there... skullbonz
Thank you everyone. lol,Red,I think I have lost mine too, lol. And 167 intrigued me also when I made it,kind of a color Escher, lol. Yes Helen stained glass is hard to make and I still haven't mastered it quite how I want yet but getting there. And in my mind I have been there, lol. Now for today's picture I made one for the girls around here,a pair of earrings. I started with a shaped gradient and thought wow what a cool looking gem and well, lol,it led to these. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery-update-march-16th/?p=349670 Edited March 18, 2013 by skullbonz Quote http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery

HELEN
The earrings are beautiful! I'd love a pair just to have in my possession. I don't wear jewelry just because I'm a plain kind of girl, but they would be great to try on and admire every day. Lovely color. Oooh...they might be even glowing. That would be so cool. skullbonz
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and those earrings would be the glowing kind, lol, real cool at night. Now watch, someone is going to take that idea and make millions with it,just like my idea in the 60's about bottling water and selling it,or how an interactive TV would be cool to make,or the mini TV screen you could watch TV shows on and call people with. Oh well I missed the boat on those, what's one more, lol. Anyway with this color explosion comp going on I have been in a colorful mood, lol,as always, heh, heh,so here are a few colors. http://forums.getpai...-16th/?p=349670 Also check out my new website I am making using PDN for the graphics, first one I have ever made, lol, still building it and learning. dug
You have some very interesting ideas going on with your latest batch of work. Love the stained glass pieces, they remind me of metallic fired tiles from way back. Nice effect. That background to the earrings really make them pop. The coloured droplets could have been a winner in the SotW. Cool work on the website. Quote MY GALLERYD.A.TheRawAtom

skullbonz
Thank You everyone,it is an honor. It makes me very happy to see one of my works in with such fine pieces. Thank You again. Today I have something different. A friend who does wood burnings posted a picture on facebook of rocks from Lake Michigan (that are incredibly smooth) and were arranged like feet on a drift wood board. I told her that it wood make a cool wood burning picture. She challenged me to make one with the computer, lol. I was on that like a fly on s***,lol. Well I finished mine way before her and here it is along with the original. Mine's a little more colorful of course, lol. skullbonz
Thanks Daniels. You should give it a try. I used stone textures, shape 3D and gridwarp to make the stones, lots of fun. Maybe I should have sent this in as a suggestion for a comp, lol.
