Having trouble installing Paint.NET 3.5.7!

If .NET 3.5 is not installed, FIRST try the cleanup utility to make sure there are NO remnants of it left on your system.

Next, go back to the second post in this thread (here: ), and try manuallly reinstalling 3.5 from the link given.

Please open the Windows Installer Cleanup program.

Make one or more screenshots showing all items in the program interface.

(Save screenshots as PNG filetype.)

Then close the program.

Also, in the bottom-left of the screen click on the start icon, type winver and press Enter.

Verify your Windows version and Service Pack level.

OK, getting annoyed here. Not at you, mpeterson, just at the fact that we can't get this working.

Try working through this thread:

Please be very careful when messing with the registry. This is always a last resort.

I think you're gonna need to take this issue to Microsoft. It's the .NET Framework that's not installing in the first place, and they will be able to help you a lot more than we can.
