Bandit12345
I would like to know if anyone knows how to create a Windows XP .ico (icon) with a transparent background with paint.net. The attached picture shows the red apple on the right without transparency and on the left with. Currently, ICONXP (30-day trialware) and SimplyIcon (freeware) are used. I don't think you can do this through Paint.NET. There's currently no export for .ico. However, I can recommend you two other services you might try - both are free. http://converticon.com/ http://icofx.ro/ I particularly prefer Converticon because it can create 512x512px and store multiple icons sizes within a single icon. IcoFX only creates up to 256x256px icons but it'll allow to create both Windows and Macintosh icons. Hope this helps. Well perhaps there's still some use for the links that I had posted above, at least, that is, if you plan on creating icons with multiple sizes stored in them. pyrochild
if you plan on creating icons with multiple sizes stored in them. IIRC, Evan's plugin supports that too.
