4evermaat
I'm using tiny7 rev01 by eXperience. (Windows7, but with unnecesary programs removed). I have 15gb hard drive, 1 gb ram, and using 1 out of 2 of the dual 2.2ghz processors.. I've been able to install Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 and some other stuff without problems. I heard about and wanted to try paint.net. But now I am experiencing installation issues. I've never seen an error like this before. I am attaching a screenshot . I tried recommendations on this page: http://forums.getpai...on-of-paintnet/ and with no luck. I attempted both 3.5.6 and 3.5.7 beta. Same error message screen. Another thing I wanted to point out: A 256kb global quota for uploads? a little low for image upload attachments. I think each user could use 2 MB at least. How would one delete previous attachments once their quota gets full? Edited February 15, 2011 by 4evermaat

4evermaat
Sorry. I thought when I selected it, it automatically uploaded it. I didn't hit the Attach button. It should be there now.
Rick Brewster
Looks like you have .NET 3.5 but with DLLs missing from .NET 3.0. Whatever "tiny7 rev01 by eXperience" is, it probably did something dumb and borked your .NET. It's not really going to leave you with a configuration that's "supportable". We don't have unlimited storage space and prefer images to be uploaded to an actual image-hosting service like Photobucket, ImageShack, or imgur. 4evermaat
ok. I now have a full copy of windows 7 ultimate. I was installing paint.net 3.5.8 and I got further this time, but now I'm getting an "error opening file for writing: C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Temp\PdnSetup\PaintDotNet.Resources.dll Abort, Retry, Ignore" Any Ideas? I click retry, same thing. I click ignore, and there are other dlls that are getting the same error. 4evermaat
ok I restarted the installer and it appears to be working. Maybe I had 2 instances running at once of the installer but it wasn't until I got an error to close existing instances of paint.net that I realized this was the case. pyrochild
Yeah, I've seen that issue before, and it's usually due to opening multiple instances of the installer. I'm glad you got things working Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
