petejessica Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I LOVE Paint.net. Honestly I love it more than Photoshop, in fact I recommend Paint.net over any other photo program. That being said I was just curious if anyone was working on fun frames or colored vignettes. I would love to put another color on the vignette other than black. Quote
Sarkut Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 If you have your black vignette on a separate layer, you can change it to any color you want. You could use Mike Ryan's Silhouette Plus plugin. Or use the vignette as an alpha mask on a layer filled with the color of your choice. Quote
SAND33P Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Doing it on another layer will require ( i think) to have it white aswell, im sure a layer blend mode will sort that, but there is a 'Make Transparent' tool aswell Quote

Sarkut Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) Yes, good point, the Ed Harvey Vignette plugin would need to be done on a white layer. That could be used as an alpha mask, as is. Or the black-on-white vignette could have the Black and Alpha+ plugin effect applied, and could then be colored with the Silhouette Plus plugin. =========================================== The Stu's Effects Vignette plugin will make the vignette directly on a new alpha layer.
