Well, I do a lot of digital art. Actually, I usually just color lineart. I was wondering how to do shading. Here's an example of my work. As you can see, there is no shading. Why? Because I am a high school freshman and have not been educated in shading. Please, help me to learn of this important part of art.

since anime shading tends to be less blurry and more defined, just add a new layer and set the opacity to around 30-100 and draw black areas where you want the shading. Using the line tool will help you a great deal. Don't bother staying in the lines because, when you are done, you can go back to your picture and use the magic wand to select everything outside the lines, then go back to the shading layer and hit delete.
