cant uninstall, upgrade, or run

i was trying to upgrade to 3.0 but the install halted and displayed a warning, same error when i try to run it or uninstall it

Try reinstalling Paint.NET 2.72 first, and if you run into trouble check out the post at the top of this forum about installing/uninstalling.

I actually have implemented some cool stuff that should enable 3.0 to auto-repair itself and avoid this type of crash you're seeing. The problem is that, for some reason, one of Paint.NET's files got deleted on your system. I don't know why it happens, but I've had it happen to me a few times and I get enough crash reports about it to make it an important issue to address in this upcoming release.
