adding another picture to a diffrent background

i told my gradmom i would send her a cristmas card and i been trying to add another photo to a diffrent background, but i can't do it. can someone plz help me? if you can plz try to be as speficic as you can. One because i have a learning disablly ( hint my spelling errors) and when things are explained step by step i understand them better.
