sanok
Hi there Can this program handle canvas sizes bigger than 2500x2500 pixels? I have created a 3000x3000 canvas, then added one layer 1000x800 and as soon as I click "multiply layer" everything (like positioning the layer) takes long minutes to execute, or program stops responding. I have pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 512 Ram Tried on another comp, same problems thanks
pyrochild
"Multiply layer?" There is no such thing that I know of. I assume you mean Duplicate or Add layer. Short version: Your computer is a dinosaur. Long version: Pentium 4 is 10 years old now. 512MB of RAM is not very much at all, and the image you describe (2 layers, 3000x3000) requires 138MB of contiguous RAM alone, or 172 if you by multiply you meant duplicate or add (3 layers). When you consider other things that need RAM (your OS, other programs) you are probably just running out. Get a newer computer, or at the very least add some more RAM. Rick Brewster
A Pentium 4 with only 512MB RAM is pretty much at the bottom of the barrel in terms of system capabilities at this point. gregors
Hi there Can this program handle canvas sizes bigger than 2500x2500 pixels? I find that PaintDotNet is very sluggish when trying to handle large files and that would, by necessity, include images of sizes like those you have created. gregors
I have a 2,4 GHz QuadCore with 3,5Gb of RAM and I have difficulty selecting many areas (like when subtracting with rectangle tool from a magic wand selected bunch of areas).
