zzaxle
I used paint.net for a while, and one day I tried to open it, and it didn't work... I got an error, that I can't remember what it said, but it created a pdncrash note file on my desktop that said this: This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to crashlog@getpaint.net so we can diagnose and fix the problem. APShredder
Is this a consistent error that happens everytime you open Paint.NET or is it happening with just one or two files? If it's the latter than the file may just be corrupt or an unsupported image type. Quote BlendModes Plus | Dissolve | Extract Color
pyrochild
Looks like your .NET Framework installation may be corrupted. Try repairing it. Rick Brewster
Also try running PdnRepair.exe from the Paint.NET installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\Paint.NET), if it still persists after pyrochild's suggestion. If it's the latter than the file may just be corrupt or an unsupported image type. It /was/ consistent until I uninstalled Paint.NET. Now I'm having problems reinstalling it, if you look at the second error Looks like your .NET Framework installation may be corrupted. Try repairing it. How do I repair it exactly? Also try running PdnRepair.exe from the Paint.NET installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\Paint.NET), if it still persists after pyrochild's suggestion. I did run PdnRepair.exe, it said "Repair Failed" or something of the sort, and then closed
pyrochild
How do I repair it exactly? From the Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Programs, then select Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 SP1, click Change/Remove, then choose Repair and follow the prompts. I don't have a copy of Windows XP handy to check these steps, so it may vary slightly. Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
