Paint.NET is getting noticed!

Recommended Posts

As noted by Simon in the overflow, Paint.NET has front paged on Forumer's main site:

Could this be the cause [of the spam]?

The New Zealand PC World magazine includes the latest stable release of Paint.NET in a free software DVD it packages with its magazines every month under "Essentials" :)

How hard would it be to get Microsoft to Use Paint.Net with all its plugins as a default image editor? It would increase this forums, and Paint.net's publicity greatly.

That will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever happen.

See the FAQ.

I found this on download.com after spending over an hour looking for a photo editor that will run smoothly on my little dell mini 10 netbook. I used to use photoshop on my laptop but broke that :( its a great program because you can do all the small tasks without waiting for ages and I hope they dont make the future versions use loads of power!!

I don't know if anyone has seen this, but Paint.NET ranks #3 for Free Most Popular Image Editing Software from CNET's download.com

They gave it 5 stars and it has over 4.2 million downloads from the site. :D

I checked out this site called AlternativeTo.net that fin alternatives to programs and other things. They have Paint.NET as a second alternative to Photoshop. GIMP is in first. Go figure. :|

Lol, the funny thing is, I have been to that site before you posted this. Did you hear about it from Lifehacker or some other feed subscription? Or just surfin' the web. ;)

I saw a video on YouTube that was mentioning useful sites and they mentioned that one, so I checked it out and saw PdN as a Photoshop alternative.

Paint.Net is on the DVD you get with issue 168 of PC Power Play Australia with the comment "Surprisingly functional image editing". GIMP wasn't on there so nahhh.
