Paint.NET is getting noticed!

*raises eyebrow*

How did you become a moderator?

What? I use PDN too! I use PDN for just about everything I post on here. The only things that haven't been PDN have been the times people have asked about rotoscoping, and the example of the Liquify warp.

Again, allow me to reference my rant here:

Downloading and using something other than PDN doesn't mean that you're against PDN, though some act as if that's the case.

Besides, being a moderator is about following and helping others follow the forum rules, not about what graphics app one uses.

Anyway, this topic is getting rather off-topic. Back to how awesome PDN is and how the internet is testifying the fact!

This morning I was sitting down to do some good reading at breakfast, but before doing so I briefly skimmed through the local paper. What should I see but the classic camaro screenshot taking up a quarter of the page and this text:

Paint.Net

The freeware image-editing program Paint.Net offers much of the power of Adobe Photoshop, which costs $649

Why spend big bucks on Adobe Photoshop, the gold standard for image-editing programs, when you can get Paint.Net (getpaint.net) for free?

The software puts a wealth of artistic tools at your fingertips, allowing you to create new images from scratch, add special effects to existing images, modify and repair digital photos, and plenty more.

It even supports layers, a decidedly high-end feature that affords incredible control over how you edit and enhance your images.

It's a must-have addition to your software arsenal.

Now is that cool or what? :D

v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended.

"For infinite happiness," said the Spirit. "You can step out into it at any moment..."
