david.atwell
The off topic stuff is why we have the , guys. :-) Thanks. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Bob
The guy in the keynote says that if you use the Common File Dialog in Vista, which Paint.NET uses, you get all the benefits of the new Windows APIs automagically. Now, topic closed, sorry, David. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. Sozo
Paint.NET is third on Tech Republic's 10 essentials list. [link] That post is back from February, but I Stumbled upon it today, so I think it's worth mentioning. I hope it hasn't been posted previously. barkbark00
Possibly un-install and the like. Not likely, seeing as that is not in the general program list (see 'All Programs' below). My guess would be a list of recent files access by the program. Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster

Jerm93
Popular Science Magazine Recently ran an article on their website about open source alternatives to Photoshop CS2 and Paint Shop Pro X. Although Gimp and Gimpshop kinda stole the spotlight in the article, a link was provided for Open Source Alternative ("A quick online guide to the best open source software.") where Paint.NET is duly listed as a viable alternative to the afore mentioned heavy hitters. Yeah i have gimp and i really dont like it at all Paint.net has a much better interface and as far as i know gimp has no... plugin style features more like paint with magic wand^^

Gamer_World14
found one at http://lifehacker.com/5077690/get-windows-7s-best-features-right-now I was looking @ Windows 7 stuff and found Paint.NET in this paragraph. Upgrade Calculator and Paint; Get PowerShellWindows 7 brings with it a few key upgrades to the ancillary programs it bundles, like Calculator, Paint, and WordPad. While you can't get the new Office 2007 ribbon in your WordPad right now, if you're a Paint user do consider upgrading to the free Paint.NET, which supports layers, multiple open images, and much more than regular Paint ever dreamed. To get you some powered-up Calculator action, XP users can install Power Calculator, and Vista users can don their eye patch and try getting this version of the Win7 Calculator to run on their system. Finally, Windows 7 comes with PowerShell pre-installed, but you can download and install PowerShell yourself right here.
