Question about tutorial

Hello everyone!

Im new for paint.net, started using this awesome program some time ago, ill have tested only one tutorial this far. Tested glass ball thing wich was pretty nice : )

But i got one question, im studying data processing at vocational school, and teaches gave all of us task. We have to choose some program and made a some kind of tutorial for it.

So i choosed Paint.net, well do u guys have any ideas wich nice effect/things should i do :P When doing that tutorial it have to be atleast hour long, then we have to introduce it for lower class students and help them with it :)

How about a tutorial on the use of layers?

You could explain blendmodes, opacity, separating your images into elements on individual layers (especially text), moving parts of an image, dropshadows, etc.....

It really doesn't have to be a complex idea to last an hour. It really depends on how advanced your lower class students are... if you could provide us with that information, that might help ;)
