I have been an lover of PDN for a long time. I love all the plugins and helpful people on the forums. I'm going to "teach" a class in school about PDN (I'm 14 so I'm not a teacher). At home I have a $700 laptop with Windows Vista (T.T). Here are the specs:

I have been wanting to get Windows 7 64 bit for a long time now but I don't have the money to do so. I wanted to get a new OS since Vista pretty much equals bloody potato. So, to get to the point, I wanted to get Ubuntu because it runs a lot faster. Now for the question: Can PDN run on Linux? I don't like Gimp at all. So forum, please help me by answering this question as best as you can.

Thank you,

Tiharo

Actually csm you can run 2 OS's at the same time. It's called virtual machine (duh). You can use programs like VMware and run Windows Vista inside Windows XP or Linux Ubuntu inside Windows 7(and any variation). It operates as if it were a standalone machine. It's pretty cool actually :P You can do this without having to reboot at all. Just ctrl+click in any OS you wish to use to switch between them.

You might want to check out Linux Mint 9, which is based on Ubuntu.

It can be installed/uninstalled from Windows without having to deal with changing partitions, etc.

Thanks. Right now I just discovered the sound on my primary device doesn't work.
