I'm hoping to find some method of generating a text effect that resembles cake lettering. It would be a 3D effect that emulates the look of piping text onto a cake. Any ideas would be most welcome. I'd choose something that gives the impression of being freehand - like Comic Sans MS. Other things that might help: The top of the cake should be slightly curved, not flat. Check out the Power Stretch plugin. As already mentioned, giving the illusion of 3d depth with BoltBait's Bevel Selection is a great idea. Finally, a slightly off color Drop Shadow will augment the illusion of depth. Welcome to the forum and happy piping!
