Paint.Net Icon Dissappeared ?

The Paint.Net Icon disappeared off my desktop, . . and the file icons in the program file can not be opened,

the type of file is unknown,etc. I am not able to open it. I did have it open yesterday.

I reinstalled Paint.net I am not sure exactly when this happened either before or after I installed a fax program,

taht uses Windows Messenger. This also may have happened after I tried to open a Windows Photo and Picture application

this app. is in the Newly installed WXP Pro

Any help will be apprt.?

What happens when you double-click this file?

Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe

I get

Windows can not open this file, To open this file Windows needs to know what program created it, . . etc ;\

When I use the selection to open it searching the internet, z i received this;

I Just noticed I can't find my IF-View application either, so I guess when I opened the Windows Photo and Picture app, something over wrote these, . . . not really sure,

Still don't know what to do,

I may try restore is possible it may work ?

CORRECTION

Office Picture Manager is the Application that I believe is causing the interference.

It opens but does not complete become active because the application has not been activated.

I reinstalled it and that restored the icons, . . . thanks
