Select area with fixed ratio (à la JPEGCrops)

Hi,

Would it be possible to create a plugin (or standard feature) that would allow us to select a rectangular area at a fixed width/heigth ratio?

See JPEGCrops.

Procedure:

• Load photo
• click "fixed-ratio-crop" tool
• choose desired width/heigth ratio
• select part of image (ratio is automatically maintained)
• hand-tool allows repositioning the selection-frame
• "Crop" button crops the image

I would very much like to see such a feature under Effect|Photo.

Maybe it's not that difficult for an experienced plug-in developer.
