1) ColorPicker:

Recommended Posts

Thanks in advance:

2 issues:

1)

I am confused by how the colorPicker(cp) works.

I would expect: to move cp to color in ColorWindow that i want to pick, then click leftMouse.

But when i move cp into colorWindow , cp changes to blackArrow.

I have an image with no color white in it. So how do i get white into the cp.?

2)

I would like to have more than one image to work on at a time(transfer stuff back and forth).

I guess that i could have two copies of pdn running at same time.

Thanks.. vmars

The Color Picker is used within the area of the canvas.

It picks whatever color is on the active work layer at a chosen coordinate.

You don't need to use the Color Picker to choose colors from the Colors window.

=================================================================

You can have more than one file open in Paint.NET, and switch between them.

Hmmm...

When I click Cntrl+N

the current image goes away

and I end up with a new Blank image.

I would like to see them side by side, both visible at once.

Is this possible?

Thanks.. vmars

If you mean goes away, as in the file closes, this should not happen

unless the first file is new and untouched itself.

The original file should still be available as an open tabbed file.

Not both visible at once.

You can switch between them by clicking the thumbnailed

tabs at the top-right of the Paint.NET window.
