Goseki
So I've re-installed Paint.net, latest version, about 15 times now. My computer is less than 24 hours old so I doubt it's a virus. For some reason, the icon just WILL NOT APPEAR. It shows up on the desktop shortcut, but not in the start menu or when running it. Here's a screenshot. I'm running 7 home prem 64bit. Is this normal or is something wrong??? Is there a way to fix it? It's bugging me to no end.
himself22
Things like this have happened to me before. What I do is right click the program in your start menu, click properties, than click change icon. The Paint.Net icon is here: "C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe". I don't know if this type of thread is allowed though. It's not really a Paint.Net problem. Edited June 12, 2010 by himself22 Quote "The truth is just an excuse for having a lack of imagination." Only time it appears normally is in a shortcut on the desktop, or when i open the uninstall window or the properties window. If i click on the messed up icon and choose properties it appears correctly, dunno why when it's in the start menu the icon's screwed up. Rick Brewster
Maybe you should run chkdsk. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Goseki
Maybe you should run chkdsk. Still didn't work, disk was normal. I gave up and just switched out the labtops. Seems to be working now.
Rick Brewster
Glitch in The Matrix? Why not. Doesn't seem to be a bug in Paint.NET though, thankfully (for my sake anyway). Simon Brown
It happened to me as well. Directing the installer to a different directory fixed it.
