Puhko
Ok so I have an image and I put it on layer one, I then added a new layer and filled it white I wanted it so it was at about 60% transparency so that you could see the background image but with a white layer on top but I don't know how to do this. I only know the pencil tool and other basic tools on paint.net so any help is appreciated
csm725
Okay, after placing the image on the background layer, make a new layer (as you said). Go to the Paint Bucket tool and fill it with white (255, 255, 255 or FFFFFF). Double-click your layer and set its opacity to 153 (60% of 255 - 255 is the most opaque). Click OK. csm725
No problem, also hit Ctrl-Shift-M to merge layer down and you can save as a jpg or png.
