.gif images into Paint.NET plugin?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I have a question. When I add .gif images into Paint.NET, they're not moving..

Now I'm wondering, is there a plug-in for Paint.NET to add .gif images and edit each frame?

Well, it is possible. But you need to do several things:

1) Download AnimatedGIF.dll, you'll find information here.

2) Install the FileType-plugin, if you have problems read here.

3) Rename the animated *.gif you want to edit in *.agif. [* is for the file name]

4) Open the *.agif with PDN. Now every frame is one layer!

5) Edit the image.

6) Save the image as Animated GIF (.agif)

7) Rename the edited and saved *.agif to *.gif to use/watch it.

1. if you open your original *.gif in your browser, is the animation showing?

2. Have you followed all the steps outlined above?

If you're done everything correctly and it's still not working, try uploading your image here so we can have a look.
