rctaubert
I have been updating the metadata information for a large number of my family pictures. I use MS Pro Phototools to do that. I had just finished adding a large amount of metadata to an image and realized I wanted to make it pure black and white. I opened the image in Paint.net and clicked on Adjustments...Black and White and Paint.net did a wonderful job as it always does. I saved the image. Next I re-opened the image in MS Pro Phototools and was suprised to see about half the metadata was missing. I'm pretty sure one of the previous version DID save it all. If you need code to read and write the metadata you can use Windows API Code Pack v1.0. It reads and writes ALL BUT one piece of metadata that MS Pro Photo Tools does but I can live with that. It beats the hell out of trying to use the code Pro Photo Tools does. I have a very small article on CodeProject about it: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/shell/ImageMetadata.aspx .
