bigstarr62
When I copy an object then paste it. The copy then covers the original object, not allowing the original to be seen. How can I change this. BIGSTARR62
csm725
Assuming your object is on a new layer, click copy and then Ctrl-Shift-V - Paste in a new layer. Does this work? Sarkut
bigstarr62, Paint.NET doesn't have an Opaque Paste function. (It doesn't need it) This link will help you learn about using layers. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html ================================================================== With the particular image you have posted, copy and paste your selection into a new layer as described by csm725. Press the F4 key at the top of your keyboard. The Layers Properties window will appear. Change the Blending Mode to Multiply. This will make the white part of the selection become clear in appearance. =================================== The best way of doing this is to put the black boxes on their own transparent layer from the start of the project.
