The Forums Are Back! (Post problems here)

Ok, this is where the Paint.NET forums are now: http://forums.getpaint.net/

Welcome!

Be sure to edit your account's birthday, as everyone got imported as being 40 years old (January 1st, 1970).

You will need to edit your signatures if they contain links to pages on the old forum.

The old forums are kaput. Totally nuked :nuke:.

Ok I'm not finding a setting for either 50 PMs, or the images.

One thing that'll help speed this up is if you can search through the IPB documentation and help find the settings for these things. Should be here, http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/official.html?category=36 ... If you can find the setting, we can tweak it.

While I'm here, a few suggestions: IP.Gallery to eventually replace the Pictorium and IP.Downloads to replace the Plugins section. This would really be a lot sleeker and more intuitive, giving individual plugin authors more control over distribution.

Also, now that we are on a better system I have a new Mod Staff position: Verified Community Leaders. VCLs are responsible for promoting growth of the community by taking on responsibilities such as:

- Pin topics (Sticky posts)

- Manage forum games both in the Alfredo and General Discussion

- Manage the Galleria

- Work as a separate entity (Their own private forum)

Sample suggestions for this position: CommanderSozo (GD&Q), Oma (Pictorium), Simon Brown (Plugins), etc.

They don't have the power of a moderator (they can't ban members, can't lock threads, can't access to the Mod Lounge) but they are verified personnel capable of making actions or replying to questions in more of an official capacity.

Another issue: On my profile page, my AIM account name is readily available. However, I cannot find a single place to change this setting. I see the area to change other IM clients such as YIM, Jabber, etc but not one for AIM.

I have the same thing, well I had to make a new account for this forum because my old one didn't work. But I see no area to change the AIM username.

Click on "Edit my Profile" -- it's all the way on the right side of the screen. Took me a minute to find it too.

@ Rick, as someone who has moved a forum from a phpBB forum to an IP forum, I can appreciate the amount of work that went into this effort. When we moved our old forum it was ab absolute nightmare, and it wasn't nearly as large as this one. Good job, you deserve a well earned rest !

Like Mike Ryan's, my gallery is really messed up. Page 1 posts 1 through 4, where I have all my images only display a few of them and the rest are all links and is out of order. I can fix it, so I'm not complaining about it, but what I want to point out to you is on page 3, post 45 the whole thing starts over as if it is the start of my gallery. In this case, it seems that all the images are displayed. Weird huh?

I'll try to fix it and let you know what happens. <_< <_< ;)

A majority of the credit actually goes to pyrochild who figured it out and then just did it (which is always a weakness of mine!). I think he's hiding under a bed somewhere catching up on sleep.

Oh yeah, enjoy the : speed : emoticon while it lasts, that was just for fun to test it out ;)

A quick search has yielded this about max images per post.

I've set the max # of images to 100. Can't remember if that was the default value or something I set it to. Let me know if you need more, of course. Ultimately a per-post limit isn't very useful anyway.
