HappymanSeven
Hi Is it possible or could someone make possible to add items to the tools window. It would make it much easier to do what I want much faster. Thanks -Happyman7
Rick Brewster
Plugins cannot add new tools. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Mike Ryan
I think he means pinning plugins to the tools menu, which all of the sudden seems like a perfect solution to the 'Plugins cannot add new tools." argument.
pyrochild
Pinning. That's certainly an interesting idea... Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
Lance McKnight
Will that mean revamping the code to be able to "pin" tool? I can see it becoming a logistical nightmare and the flood of potential PDN crashes. I dunno, maybe I'm being pessimistic about it. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day. It's me, Simon Brown, your pal, your old chum, your homey... I do see potential, don't get me wrong, I am just wondering if it might cause noobs to plague the forum with, "Hey, it doesn't work anymore, what am I doing wrong?!" Edit: Wanted to also add, I always think of worse case scenario before thinking of good case scenarios. That's just my nature. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day. HappymanSeven
Pinning would be a good word for it. I would love this feature.

david.atwell
Plugins can't do that. Sing it with me! "Effects, adjustments, and filetypes..." HappymanSeven
Not even a toolbox with links to the effect/tool/adjustment? And if I sung, we would all go into a coma and wake up wondering why we are wearing silly hats in a yoga class.
Simon Brown
Not even a toolbox with links to the effect/tool/adjustment? Not at the moment (at least not without making Paint.NET really cry).
david.atwell
...and getting your plugin summarily deleted by Rick, blocked in the next bugfix, chewed out, strongly cautioned not to program another plugin like that again, shipped to Guantanamo... ...bad all around.
