vegaswingnut
I want to add plugins to my paint.net. I have followed the instructions both on the site forum and on youtube .I close paint.net, go find the plugin and download it to my desktop. I open my computer> C drive> Program files> paint.net> effects... I drag the files from my desktop to the open effects file and then close everything. I open paint.net but the plugins aren't there. I go back to program files, paint.net, effects and there they are.......what gives? I've got windows XP and have paint.net ver 3.5.4 Where am I going wrong? BoltBait
I want to add plugins to my paint.net. I have followed the instructions both on the site forum and on youtube .I close paint.net, go find the plugin and download it to my desktop. At this point, did you unzip the file you downloaded? In the next step, you need to drag the DLL file into the Effects folder. I open my computer> C drive> Program files> paint.net> effects... I drag the files from my desktop to the open effects file and then close everything. I open paint.net but the plugins aren't there. Sarkut
The two folders shouldn't be there, only the files that they contain.
BoltBait
Well, you should not have any sub folders inside of your Effects folder. Move any DLL files from those sub folders directly under the Effects folder itself.
