Installing Plugins - What am I doing wrong?

Recommended Posts

I want to add plugins to my paint.net. I have followed the instructions both on the site forum and on youtube .I close paint.net, go find the plugin and download it to my desktop. I open my computer> C drive> Program files> paint.net> effects... I drag the files from my desktop to the open effects file and then close everything. I open paint.net but the plugins aren't there.

I go back to program files, paint.net, effects and there they are.......what gives? I've got windows XP and have paint.net ver 3.5.4 Where am I going wrong?

At this point, did you unzip the file you downloaded?

In the next step, you need to drag the DLL file into the Effects folder.
