kyokan Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Hi, this isn't really a bug, but something I've noticed you can't do. In Windows 7 you can open a file using an application on your taskbar by dragging the file to the application's icon, holding shift, and then releasing (quick demo http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/3218/how-to-drag-files-to-the-taskbar-to-open-them-in-windows-7/). This works with Paint.NET, but only if you drag a single file... I often work with a batch of images all at once and it would be nice to be able to select 7 or 8 images in explorer and just drag them to the taskbar to open them all. Is this possible? By the way (to the devs), absolute best image editor out there short of Photoshop, and not just best of the freebies. Keep up the good work! Quote
pyrochild Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Confirmed; 1 file works, but several does not. This seems like a reasonable request. I'll make sure Rick sees it. For now, you can select the images you want in Explorer, and -- assuming you set Paint.NET as the default image editor -- right-click one of them and choose Edit. Rick Brewster Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 You can still drag multiple images on to Paint.NET itself when it's open. Or right-click on the batch of images and click Edit, or Open With -> Paint.NET. kyokan Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for the reply guys! Yes, opening Paint.NET and then dragging into it is keeping me going in the meantime. Thanks again for taking a look. Quote
